Happi coats, particularly for’formal’ gigs, is a great idea although I favour the full-length type as worn by Ikari at 2015 UK Taiko Festival

I also like the idea of having a more ‘urban’ alternative look for busking/informal performances and these would be a really funky addition to the wardrobe
